Experience the Adventure of a Lifetime in Lesotho!
Fly into Durban, South Africa, and be transported to Underberg for a restful night before your thrilling journey begins. At 8 AM, depart Underberg in a guided 4X4 vehicle, navigating the scenic Sani Pass. Enjoy a tea stop at Sani Top Church and a brief visit to Skeering Village, a local Basotho community.
Continue your adventure along the Roof of Africa, pausing for lunch at Oxbow Lodge before heading to Leribe for dinner and overnight accommodation at Bird Haven Lodge. The Sani Pass meanders through the breathtaking Maloti-Drakensberg Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in ancient rock art, with some paintings dating back nearly 3,000 years.
After breakfast at Bird Haven, explore the fascinating Dinosaur footprints in Leribe and visit the Kome Caves, unique dwellings from the era of cannibalism in Lesotho. Afterward, travel to the lively city of Maseru for lunch before heading to the highlands for an overnight stay at Semonkong Lodge.
On Day 3, enjoy an early breakfast and choose to hike or take the 4X4 to the stunning Maletsunyane Falls, a 192-meter waterfall. After taking in this spectacular sight, depart the Lesotho highlands and return to Underberg, stopping for lunch in Matatiele, South Africa.

Itinerary
Day 1
Fly into Durban, South Africa be Transported to the Underburg for a good nights rest before your adventure to begin in the morning at 8AM.
Day 2
Depart at 8am from Underberg in a guided 4X4 vehicle and proceed into Lesotho Via Sani Pass with a stop for tea at Sani Top Church , as well as brief stop at Skeering Village which is a local Basotho Village. Travelling further along the Roof of Africa, stopping at Oxbow Lodge for lunch, we then travel on route to Leribe where we have dinner and overnight at Bird Haven Lodge.
Day 3
We enjoy breakfast at 8:00am and depart Bird Haven to view the Dinosaur footprints in Leribe , as well as visit the Kome Caves – a unique cave dwelling dating back to the time that Cannibals inhabited Lesotho. Used as a hideout for Basotho people wanting to escape the Cannibals during a severe famine. After seeing the Kome Caves we travel onto the vibrant and busy city of Maseru enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. We then travel onto the highlands to Semonkong Lodge where we will overnight.
Day 4
We enjoy an early breakfast at 7:00am and then choose to hike or take the 4X4 to the Maletsunyane Falls (this is time dependant as the hike is 4 hours so if you wish to be back in Underberg early then you will not be able to do the hike) These falls are the Maletsunyane Falls is a 192-metre-high waterfall, located near the town of Semonkong, which also is named after the falls. The waterfall is on the Maletsunyane River and it falls from a ledge of Triassic-Jurassic basalt. After this incredible sight, we depart the Lesotho highlands via passes that enter South Africa at Qacha’s Nek. We will stop for lunch in South Africa at Matatiele, where after we will return to Underberg.
